Personally im glad he is’nt signing anyone else.All these people saying we shud sign David Silva and Franck Ribery,it is quite obvious wat SAF is doing he was sick of protecting Ronaldo just to get performances out of him so now he signed players without egos to get a more Everton-like squad with a bit more quality.

plus we already have a lot of wingers,Nani,Tosic,Park,Valencia,Obertan and Ljaic is coming in January and since Scholes and Giggs are getting on a bit Anderson will finally be given his chance

I would’t mind him signing Robben, and letting Park play on the right. That way, he can also use Giggs in the central midfield.

And one more thing: Haven’t any of you thought about the possibility that this is all just mind games?

Anyone who thinks Fergie should go is clueless! The greatest manager ever on the back of a Premiership winning season and people are saying he should go. Anyone who says this is not a true fan of United and should go and follow netball or something. (e.g. Mohammed)

I think Fergie’s got it right. So many questions need answering next season: can Berbatov be a world class striker, will Hargreaves ever get properly fit agan, will Anderson fulfil his early promise, does Nani have a future with United, can Foster replace Van der Saar, are Macheda or Wellbeck future stars?

Let’s have answers to at least some of those questions before splashing the cash around. Then we’ll know who we really need to buy. The money will still be in the bank next summer and Ferguson has obviously got permission to spend it or he couldn’t have bid for Benzema.

I’m not so sure that Fergie is being completely honest. If he goes out and says he’s looking to spend big, clubs will jack up the prices beyond belief. Now, with his recent comments, clubs will know he’s only willing to pay the right price if he wants someone…otherwise he’s happy with what he’s got.

y is everybody writing united off already..look ill admit they havent signed the best players in de world but they have 2 or 3 good players in each position…also with ronaldo gone it gives rooney the chance to be the main man like he is with england and if berbatov gets on form i think man u will win the title..the only team that can compete with united is liverpool

I want to believe this to be true, but Sir Alex being who he is I still think he has one more signing in his sleeve to do before end of summer transfer. Watch the space and time will tell it was all mind games.

In selling ronaldo united lost one quality player, but gained the confidence of the worlds best and most complete football squad. By electing not to waste 60 million pound in an out of control transfer market purely outlines the confidence fergie has in his current players. The array of talented youth he had at his disposal last season are still young and talented, but with an extra year of premier league experience under their belts. He knows what he’s doing and i won’t be suprised if he buys big in january again.
