Serie A giants have not made a bid for Tottenham striker

Tottenham striker Roman Pavlyuchenko will not be joining AS Roma despite reports suggesting otherwise.
The Russian international is unlikely to be a permanent fixture in Harry Redknapp’s starting eleven next season, with Robbie Keane, Jermain Defoe and Darren Bent all ahead of him in the pecking order. This has led to intense speculation that Pavlyuchenko will be on his way out of White Hart Lane in the coming weeks, however his agent has confirmed that Roma have not made a bid.
Viktor Koldar, Pavlyuchenko’s agent, had this to say : “I don’t know anything. By reading the papers I learnt that the club would make a move for the player, but with regards to myself no-one has made me aware of anything. There’s nothing concrete because there have been no offers made either to the club or to the player.”
I would be surprised to still see Pavlyuchenko wearing the white of Tottenham next season. There is no doubt that on his day, Pavlyuchenko is more than capable of playing at the highest level, however during his time at Spurs he hasn’t done enough for me. His goalscoring record hasn’t been too bad, 14 goals in 32 games, however the majority of those goals came in the Carling Cup.

pav is areally good player and has now had his first break since joining us, you need to give some players time to bed in so normally after two seasons thats the time to judge a player when they have come from abroad. At least he has not thrown his toys out of the pram like some players do
