Three words to sum up Xabi Alonso

Posted by Cathal Breathnach on July 25, 2009 | 26 Comments

This should be interesting alright.

Liverpool midfielder Xabi Alonso has been strongly linked with a move to Real Madrid in recent days and weeks. Rafa Benitez has told the Spanish international that he is loved at Anfield and that he should stay, however his future still remains unclear.

The majority of Liverpool fans are desperate to keep Alonso on Merseyside but the player himself has admitted that a move to the Bernabeu may interest him. So, Football Corner would like you to sum up Alonso in  just three words. Tell me your three words by leaving a comment below.

My three words : going to Madrid.

alonso after the way we treated him last year has the right to go if decides to leave… who could blame him. after being cast out to dry but then reeled back in after a disastrous calamity of a transfer for g barry he goes and kicks ass in the league getting fans pos :)

the guys class and if we keep him ill be chuffed to bits. if does go its the fall out from the regime that rafa has ended this year before he signed a new contract. I really hope he stays because if he does we will surley be far worse off.

    my 3 words.

    please dont go !

i don’t really understand how he was ‘mistreated’
it’s not like he was playing top flight football and we wanted to get rid of him out of the blue. he had 2 bad seasons and was constantly injured. why was it completely reasonable to try to sell him?
