   I think utd were very reliant on their defence last year with the amount of 1-0 victories and without Ronaldo this year may see them struggle, Chelsea will be again an unknown force as Ancelotti’s league record with Milan is absymal considering the league he was in and the team he had, one league title in all his time there doesn’t say much for him lasting 38 games but who knows Utd signing Owen could be a masterstroke, Chelsea holding on Terry could be seen as foolish considering the money on offer, Arsenal will have players back from injury and maybe got rid of two of the biggest troublemakers in the dressing room, this could turn out to be the most Titanic battle for a league title ever…… especially with Villa, Man City, Spurs and Everton having a proper squad this time round and a years experience on their younger players. Let’s get it on.

   Of course we’re good enough, Xabi wasn’t half as influential as Ronaldo was at Man Utd. Without doubt Rafa will be lining up a great replacement (defour for me), and we start the season with Glen Johnson and maybe David Silva. Man Utd have lost talisman Ronaldo and Tevez and Hargreves, Neville and Scholes are finished and they’re convinced that the lads they’ve brought in (valencia and owen) are as good. Who are they kiddin, every target they’ve gone for turned them down. The team that will push Liverpool all the way will be Chelsea. Utd won last season by the skin of their teeth. It won’t happen again.

   i think we should all wait an see who rafa brings in b 4 we make our judgements. yes alonso was a top draw player but not irriplaceable! far from it . lets jus hope rafa hasnt burnt his bridges with velencia!?

   The answer is no, theres no way in hell liverpool are gonna win the league even with Alonso, they dont have the quality or character, and need to stop the long ball play that liverpool inevitably play, and the financial situation there is worrying.

   I think this is going to very very difficult, but lets see what happens. Though liverpool are going to get Aquilani soon.
