He was one of few players last season who gave a damn. However combining injuries and lack of form over 3 years of Toon service, he has been largely disappointing for us. He has to be considered as one (of many) of the reasons why newcastle had fallen into a downward spiral over recent years since Sir Bobby left the club (transfer money wasted, over-paid players, and to start off with a prima donna who was in a slump after sold from a top club for the Toon cash cow).
