   You must be bonkers. Modric is a cheeky little quality titch player, but he’ll never come close to being as good as Anderson might be. Keeping him is a gamble, to be sure, because you can see him out and about at all hears in downtown Manny and, sooner or later, he’ll either mellow down or fellow the same white line exit that has obstructed Ronaldinho’s career. Once United get a new defencive central midfielder, or, when, eventually, Hargreaves comes back, if Anderson’s still around, I still think he can become a world-class attacking midfielder.

Maybe if united swapped Anderson and threw in 20m there might be possibilities but until then my friend…..wishful thinking.

    Really??? I dont get this at all!! Are you saying we should pay 23m for modric? If Anderson, one of the most gifted young brazilians around, cant get a consistent run in the team what makes you think modric would? We bought Anderson for his strenghth and deteremination in central midfield chartecteristics that modric severly lacks!!! This Anderson nonesense is the rumour mill in overdrive!

    Brazil have got problems if Anderson is one of the most gifted youngsters around. From his performances for Utd he’s been average at best. His determination is questionable as well he’s obviously not that determined to get picked if he’s rubbing Fergie up the wrong way or just plain stupid. I’ll give you strength but then I would say Modric is very strong also. Being small is irrelevant as Ardiles used to show back in the day and Modric is now. Big boys don’t seem to knock that lad off the ball.
