Hands up if you want to leave Tottenham

After just a year in North London, it would appear that Roman Pavlyuchenko wants to leave Tottenham.

The Russian striker has struggled for first team football this season, with Jermain Defoe, Robbie Keane and Peter Crouch all above him in the pecking order at White Hart Lane.

Speaking today, Pavlyuchenko had this to say : “No footballer likes being on the bench game after game. I could lose my place in the Russia squad ahead of the 2010 World Cup. I’m ready now to listen to offers from other clubs.”

The 27-year old was linked with a move to both Villarreal and Roma earlier this summer, however for whatever reasons nothing ever materialised. Following today’s comments, I would be pretty confident that Pavlyuchenko won’t be wearing the white of Spurs this time next week.

There is no doubt that on his day, Pavlyuchenko was a really decent striker but unfortunately for him, he could not reproduce his best form on a consistent basis.

What do you think? How much should Spurs look to sell Pavlyuchenko for? Comments below please.

I would be sad to see him go, but he is ready to listen to offers………….surely it is Spurs who make the decision whether to sell him.

We will not recoup the £14 million that was spent and will realistically get £8 million max with the possibility of add ons from appearances and success.
The problem is we are not going to find an international class player who is willing to come of the bench week in week out.
Therefore as fourth choice striker Harry has two choices in my eyes. 1. Bring in a striker who is at the twilight of his career but still has the conditioning to play 15-20 games if required. Offering a coaching capacity as well. Not sure if there are that many players around in that ilk but thats option 1. Or 2 look at someone who is banging them in in the lower leagues like a Jermain Beckford and sell it to them that they will be training with world class players and that he will get minutes. And hopefully someone like that will see the benefits and how it will improve them as a player.

Hey Roman, Avril Lavigne called, she wants her arm warmers back! This guy is a tool! Sorry, I know that seems harsh but c’mon… he’s over-rated primadonna. Send him packin’ but a cup of coffee and halfpenny. For every good quality he brought to the team, his arrogance took away from the team’s unity and vision.
