All Things Football #4

With the resumption of the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday night, this week’s edition of All Things Football takes a look ahead to some of the key games of the week.
Chelsea face a tricky match away to Apoel of Cyprus. After their shock defeat on Saturday at the hides of Wigan, the Blues will be desperate to get back to winning ways. I don’t think they will have it easy in Nicosia. Little known Apoel could hardly have chosen more illustrious opponents to mark their home debut in the Champions League and I’m sure they’ll be out to cause an upset.
Meanwhile, Manchester United and Liverpool both face quality opposition. United have a home game against German champions Wolfsburg whilst Liverpool face a tough test away to Italian side Fiorentina.
Arsenal welcome Zico’s Olympiacos to the Emirates on Tuesday night. With both Arsenal and Olympiacos getting off to winning starts in this season’s Champions League, they’ll both be hoping to keep their 100% record intact, however I can’t see past an Arsenal win and I’m sure Arsene Wenger will be hoping his side don’t have a repeat of the opening day when the Gunners had to batlle from 2-0 down to defeat Liege 3-2.
Here are some of my predictions for this weeks action
Tuesday 29th September
.
If you fancy having a cheeky little bet on all of my predictions being correct (not the scores, but the outcomes) you will get odds of around 13,200/1. Not a bad price, eh?
