Champions League football has been terribly boring so far this season

Posted by Cathal Breathnach on September 30, 2009 | 2 Comments

Maybe I am being harsh, but does anyone else thinking the opening few games of this season’s Champions League have been terribly boring?

Watching the first-half of the Manchester United game tonight, I found myself constantly flicking back to Sky Sports News, not because I wanted to find out the scores in the other Champions League games but because I simply couldn’t keep watching the drivel being produced at Old Trafford.

There are a lot of things I hate in this world and a boring game of football is certainly one of those things. European football only really becomes exciting when it reaches the latter stages of the particular competitions and this year has been no different.

Liverpool’s game at home to Debrecen in the first gameweek was a snooze fest, as was Chelsea’s opening game against Porto.

I’m curious to hear what you have to say on this one? Has the Champions League boring this season or am I being too critical? Comments below please.
