Nicklas Bendtner : Possibly the most frustrating player in football

Posted by on October 28, 2009 | 7 Comments

Nicklas Bendtner was his usual self tonight as he scored the winning goal for Arsenal against Liverpool as well as frustrating the hell out of myself and I’m sure thousands of Gunners fans.

At times this evening, the Danish striker looked like a Championship standard player, however the 21-year old also produced some moments of pure quality. Whenever I watch Bendtner play I always know what I’m going to see.

A few good runs here and there, maybe a goal or two but then a string of bad passes and a couple of wayward shots which usually end up nearer the corner flag than the goal.

Bendtner clearly has bags of potential and is still very young, however at the moment he is probably the most frustrating player in football.

What do you think? Comments below please.

A chain is as strong as it’s weakest link,Bendtner is our weakest link. He spoiled several positive buildup plays against pool.

Agree with u guys a million % on that one.. But it seems that it is just more self confidence that these players need? Walcott is another player whom i think lacks belief in himself unlike his days in Southampthon. Be calm and keep the ball and i belive overall the team will do well. Also it seems the arsenal team can’t pass the ball as well as the henry, bergkamp, pires or so called the INVINCIBLES era. Also they kept conceding goals as well…

Btw i was a newcastle fan in the past and what made me swith loyalties is because of the way arsenal play their game. Before u can see when confidence is high, u can see that they look almost unbeatable and goals of 5 or more is as easy as 123.. Also their last minute goals seem to be past tense now…

To conclude, the arsenal now don’t keep possession so well now, prone to easy goals, and simple mistakes like needless freekicks when they are 2-0 up? They also need to rediscover their beautiful adrenaline rush counter attacks(goals or without goals doesn’t matter), it’s these chances that when taken counts and which made them look unbeatable…

    Come back ya old arsenal?

AND TO ALL ARSENAL FANS OUT THERE, TRUST IN WENGER. HE IS ARSENAL’S SAVIOUR…

“Experts” like Carl wrote exactly the same nonsene about Zlatan when he was young and played at Ajax. Bendters mistakes happens because the other players look to him for the kill. So he gets the ball in a lot of difficult positions where he is expected to work his magic. When he does that it is extraordinary to watch. And i predict that his percentage in doing that will only keep climbing. It so much easier just going for the box all the time like Persie or Eduardo. But a lot of players can do that and score plenty of goals on a team like Arsenal. Bendter is a force within himself…
