A season in which everyone at Bohs can be proud of

BohsIt was a season in which Bohs players, staff and fans can be extremely proud of.

A valiant effort in the Champions League, where Pat Fenlon’s men were within minutes of defeating Red Bull Salzburg and progressing to the 3rd qualifying round.

An incredible fundraising effort from all the fans who gave every euro they could to the cause in the form of a ‘Last Man Standing’ competition (speaking of Last Man Standing, you can still sign up for the second series by clicking the link at the top), the name on a seat initiative and the Johnny Logan gig.

Incredible displays from several members of the playing staff, most notably, from Player of the Year Conor Powell (who happens to live very near me) . Players like Paul Keegan, Brian Murphy, Brian Shelley and Gary Deegan also played a massive part in an outstanding season for the club.

All of that equates to Bohs claiming their second straight Premier Division title and you can also add an EA Sports Cup victory to that as well. A special mention for manager Pat Fenlon, who was once again, terrific. He is without doubt the best manager in the country and he deserves every bit of praise he receives over the coming days and weeks.

It truly was a pleasure this season to be a Bohs fan. Travelling to the likes of Cork, Sligo, Galway and Belfast to follow the side was thoroughly enjoyable and I cannot wait to make the short trip to Bray next week to see the lads lift the trophy.
