He gets injured again.
You really have to feel for Jimmy Bullard. The Hull City midfielder has today been ruled out for six to eight weeks with a knee injury picked up in the side’s 3-0 defeat to Aston Villa at the weekend.
The Premier League’s mister nice guy only returned to action back in October following a lengthy spell on the sidelines through injury. Bullard, 26, was rewarded for a terrific November when he received the Barclays player of the month, however, as is usually the case with Bullard, his luck doesn’t last very long.
Hull boss Phil Brown had this to say regarding the latest injury set-back for Bullard : “On the negative front we are losing a very good player for six weeks but on the other side it could have been a lot longer.”
I have always had a soft spot for Jimmy, ever since he said hi to me at a game between Manchester City and Wigan a few years back. The sooner he returns to the Hull first team the better because not only is he a great player, he is just an all round true professinal. Get well soon Jimmy.
