tbh i think gomes isnt good enough 4 the premiership i think spurs should go to celtic for boruc hed b a snip at 6 or 7 million luse mcgeady 8 million 2 big time players mcgeady would rip up the likes of nelow 10 teams and do a very good job against the big boys

Gomes is certainly on current form the best keeper in the league. Following what can only be described as an embarassing start to his Spurs career he has recovered to win the hearts of all Spurs fans!! What a player!!

A negative image is portrayed of players such as Gomes following a few mistakes. Dixon, Hansen and Lawrenson watch a 10 minute clip of each game every week and then talk complete rubbish about the events of the match. As they don’t see 90 minutes of each game they make weak judgements on players and therefore fail to provide accurate punditry on them. Obviously the armchair fans at home take their comments as gospel and then procede to make their own statements on these players as if they are an authority on them!!

Aaron Lennon for instance!! If the media is to be believed he is essentially a one trick pony who still can’t cross the ball!! I’d like you to find a single season ticket holder at White Hart Lane who shares these views!! No matter how well Lennon plays, in the eyes of the MOTD pundits, Theo Walcott will always be the first choice right winger for England!!

Cathal you are a plank!!!!! As an Irishman and Spurs fan I am bored of the drivel you write about our team as a whole or individually. The one article that comes to mind was recently wrote gushing bout how good Keane is blah,blah.
How many games have you seen him play in this season, just like Gomes I bet(not many). The pre-Liverpool Keane seems to be the one you were writing bout not the headless chicken thats been running round WHL most of this time round. Would rather have seen Pavlova given a proper run out but hey I’m not Harry Redschnapps.

I accept all the comments, I really do.

I admit I have made a poor judgement but I can only put that down to the fact that I am not lucky enough to be able to go to White Hart Lane every weekend and see Gomes play.

The press have it in for Gomes because he had a bad patch when we first bought him. The fans love him.

as a spurs season ticket holder i am speaking with understanding gomez,he was bad in his first season and cost us many games,harry employed tony parks goalkeeping coach and now gomez is fantastic he is top of the goalkeeping stats has had four clean sheets.if he plays as well for the rest of the campaign the doubters will leave him alone.harry needs another goalkeeper we have no cover since carlos was knocked which was a real shame
