Just when Liverpool thought it couldn’t get any worse ….

It did, with the news that Fernando Torres will be out of action for six weeks.
Last night’s early exit from the FA Cup has got everyone laughing talking about Liverpool today. The same old shite being uttered amongst Liverpool fans. “Yanks out”, “Sack Benitez now”. If you ask me, it’s all getting a bit boring now.
Why Benitez hasn’t been sacked is a mystery. Obviously it’s all to do with the money involved should the Spaniard be sacked, however whats the point in keeping a manager who has clearly lost the dressing room as the manager of your football club?
Torres is going to be a massive loss in the coming weeks and to be perfectly honest, I feel today’s news has all but ended Liverpool slim hopes of finishing in the top four this season. Without Torres, Liverpool look like a mid-table side. With several key games coming up in the next month against the likes of Tottenham, Everton and Arsenal, I really can see Liverpool slipping even further down the Premier League table.
I would love to know what you have to say on this one. How much will Liverpool miss Torres? Comments below please.

Benitez was granted a new contract last year that will apparently cost £20m to terminate according to Alen Hansen. So the owners would have to cough that up, followed by funds to pay a new “world class” manager, followed by a hefty transfer budget because Benitez’s signings apparently aren’t good enough. Liverpool can only be saved by a takeover from an uber wealthy chairman. Until then, I bet Benitez isn’t going anywhere, although plenty won’t be joining me!
