John Terry should do the decent thing and step down as England captain

John Terry EnglandShame on you John Terry.

I don’t really need to say too much on this one. In my opinion, John Terry should step down as England captain before he is forced to.

I’m keen to hear your opinion on the matter. Should Terry step down/ be stripped of the captaincy?

Terry should not just be stripped of the captaincy. He should be expelled from the team as should Wayne Bridge. This is not a question of who is or isn’t fit to lead the team. This is a question of preparing the team mentally for the World Cup. Between them these two players have created a media circus which is not going to go away. This is a huge distraction for a team which cannot win the big game at the best of times. Wayne Bridge is of course a hapless victim but such is life.

Er no i beg to differ..as much as i dont approve of what hes done, things that happen off the pitch are totally unrelated to what happens on it. Football should do the talking and thats exactly what he does. Being a role model to kids and all that jazz comes next….im sorry but this is my opinion.

Capello should ask his team whether they want him as captain. It should be the team’s choice. If Terry were a real man, he would step down rather than force them to make a decision like that.
