The reason the top clubs are so good in England is cause they make 50 -100 million dollars more than real madrid, Barca, Inter, Ac milan, juve, roma etc. the reason Barca is great is cause most of their players are homegrown. AC milan lost to Man U cause they had so many injuries. Like Nesta, with him at CB it would have been a lot closer. We also didn't have Pato, with him we could have been much better espescially counterattacking.

I strongly agree with Jan. Some bottom clubs like Stoke, Bolton and Blackburn use physical strength and kicking-opponent tactics to overcome techically stronger side, which is such a disgrace to EPL. Only the top 3-4 teams in EPL can compete in International level, the rest are just numbers.

Agree with Anthony, except the fact that bottom teams are good is not the reason why but rather a result of the Premeier League being so good.

What is then the reason? My view is that the influx of foreign players and managers has caused a great combination of the technical game that we see in Southern part of the continent with the physical style and pace of the English game.

Unfortunately, right now the physicality may give the English game a setback as I feel the technical teams are less protected than they used to be - the bottom teams know this and use it. This balance needs to be re-visited or PRL will loose the technical players from abroad.

Good point Dan but I disagree..

Lower teams may cling on to draws in the EPL but teams like Hull never ever cling on to loosing positions unless its the final month of the season. Not only because the English fans would slaughter their team but also I find that the fighting spirit in the EPL is fantastic.
The reason the EPL is the more exciting league is because the lower 10 clubs are always much stronger in quality than the bottom half of la liga
Also althogh La Liga has great players it is too predictable with the dominance of just Barca and Real Madrid

I think you're jumping to conclusions to early. Next week, if Chelsea loses and both Barcelona and Sevilla win, how are you going to support your argument?

Real Madrid is just a case study by itself of buying big and thinking that, because FIFA awarded them the Best Club of the Last Century, that by default, their destiny is suppose to always be the best and win everything, which is not true if they don't now how to make a proper team. And now, for them everything hurts even more due to Barcelona's recent success.
