Liverpool on the brink of sacking Rafa Benitez

The news has broke this evening that Liverpool are on the brink of sacking Rafa Benitez.
Liverpool failed to qualify for the Champions League last season and as a result, the speculation surrounding Benitez increased.
The Spaniard has been linked with a number of clubs in recent weeks including the likes of Juventus and Inter Milan but for whatever reasons he remains at Anfield.
That may be about to change though. It has been reported that Benitez is in negotiations with the club with regards his departure from Liverpool.
Personally, I believe this is very good news for Liverpool. Many fans have blamed the club’s American owners for not doing well on the pitch but Gillett and Hicks can’t blame them for everything. Benitez is a shite manager and the sooner Liverpool get rid of him, the better.

Nobody can replace Rafa.2 champions league finals,brought in world class players on a shoestring. Torres,Mascherrano,Reina,Alonso what is the value of these now.The yanks have given him no cash over the last 2 years,he has no squad because yanks cutting costs.1 million fans turn out for triumphant champions league homecoming,Chelsea get 30,000 for their premiership parade and the Mancs cancel theirs because they cannot charge the so called supporters to attend.

totally agree wit craigie…hw is rafa shite?? b4 him wit houiller nd evans we were stuck enjoying efa cup football not ever challengin for the title nd wi a dead end squad…rafa has brought in many qual players nd delevired consistent champo league football!!! he won champo league wit an average squad..has brought in reina (best keeper in the premier league for 6m by the way..hav wat craig gordon cost) nd other qual singings like torres arbeloa alonso etc…

Rafa is shite. he has money to spend but he cannot spend it wisely. he fail to spot a bargain. he cannot see talent when its right infront of him. i hope Hiddink comes, his contract with turkey runs till the end of the world cup right?

Don’t think you’s will get Hiddink LFCman. He has turned down Inter Milan because he has only just become the manager of Turkey. He would be a great manager for Liverpool though.
