Tottenham move may still be on the cards for £30 million Brazilian

A few weeks ago, Brazil and Sevilla striker Luis Fabiano ruled out the possibilty of a summer move to Tottenham. However, Fabiano has today admitted that a move to White Hart Lane may well be of interest to him.
Fabiano, 29, is considered by many as one of the best strikers in world football and there is no doubt that Spurs boss Harry Redknapp would love to have him in his squad.
Redknapp recently had this to say: “Yes, I like him. He’s a fabulous player and would be a brilliant addition to any team.”
Fabiano has been linked with a number of clubs in recent weeks with Manchester United and AC Milan believed to be interested but as of yet, nothing has materialised, leaving the door wide open for Tottenham to make a move.
Fabiano was quoted as saying: “I must admit it’s only in the last few weeks I have understood just how big Spurs’ ambition is.”
To be honest, I would be quite surprised if Fabiano was a Tottenham player at the start of the new season. He is obviously a very gifted player and I for one would like to see him playing Premier League football next season but I personally don’t believe he will make the move to north London.

What? I don’t think Fabiano will sign for Spurs.

I don’t quite know where you get the £30 million in the headline from. You don’t discuss it in the text, at all…the closest I can come up with is that he is reputed to have a £25 million buy out clause. But, if I am correct, he only has a year left on his contract, so Sevilla would probably be prepared to lower that or they risk losing him for free next summer. And the more general quoted amount is £15 million, rising to £20 million (though I doubt Dan Levy would pay the latter fee).
