One player who Liverpool should sign this summer?

Posted by on August 2, 2010 | 45 Comments

Liverpool have been linked with a whole host of names in recent weeks with Roy Hodgson understandly keen to add to his squad before the transfer window shuts at the end of the month.

Rafael Van Der Vaart, Ashley Young, Stephen Ireland and many others have all been linked with a move to Anfield but we want to know who you think Liverpool should sign this summer.

Tell us the player who you think Liverpool need to sign by leaving a comment below.

Liverpool tickets are very hard to come by but if you want to see the reds in action just go to Live Football Tickets today.

We would really appreciate it if you would take a few seconds out of your day to go Facebook to ‘like’ the new Football Corner page. Cheers.

And one more thing, extratime.ie, a site which I have been writing for, have created their own private fantasy football league for this season. There are several prizes to be won so I suggest you join the league on premierleague.com by using the following code: 266397-71108

I’d like to see Huntelaar given a chance.

He’s a great player and I don’t think he’s been given a fair chance at either club or international level.

Matt why does he wreck your head. Always gives 110% and has been one of our most consistant performers over past 3years. Type of player we need at the club in my opinion.

We could go on for houres saying who we want in at Liverpool, but coNsidering our finacial perdicament were ‘screwded’ as my mates say. Realistically I would love to see scottyy Parker come in to replace mash, scottyy hasn’t been given. The chance to shine yet but when he is he will go after it 110 percent. As suggested before ‘huntalar’ – (wrong spelling :( ) would be fAntastic up front with star man torres. Also suarez would be great because of his natural scoring Ability. For wingers I have no idea but we need one that frightens the life out of full backs rather than what we have ATM. Last but not least LB wow this is a toughy, to bring back fabio is some fantastic thinking by hodsgon but he is injury prone so we need drenthe from real. He can play lw or lb cover all round. 2nd keeper is also a position which looks to be availble soon, Wayne hennesey from wolves would fit perfectly ;) . Ohhh Eden hazard would be a gem of a winger.

WE don’t need to replace Masch… Lucas can do the job this season when the gaff wants to play defensively as he has shown in parts last season and during this preseason.

I would love ot see Gerrard and Aqua form a good partnership in the middle of the park.

Defour o Benega would be a great option if we looking for a central player but I would love to see he likes of Robben, Dzeko, Aguero, vd Vaart ot even Huntelaar donnig a red shirt.

But priorities should be a world class LB and CB… then we would have definitiely have a squad capable of challenging for the title.

    August 3rd, 2010 @ 7:28 AM

slowliff….. Hodgson has shown that he is a man manager which is something that Rafa was not. He has already done some shrewd business and I feel he will get the best out of most of our under peformers from last season…

He needs to be given a fair chance. Torres and Gerrard where definitely set to leave but they have bought into his plan and him as a Gaffer… that counts for much in my books.

  42. Fowler is still God

diego milito or even ashley cole both of them are briliant players and every time they play they give 110% and diego milito scores a lot and ashley cole is a fantastic defender
