Is this man about to be named the new manager of Aston Villa?

Is Bradley about to take over the reins at Villa Park?

Having topped World Cup group C with the United States national team and lead them into the second round, is Bob Bradley about to succeed Martin O’Neill as Aston Villa Boss ?

The USA coach has emerged as the favourite to succeed Martin O’Neill, who resigned earlier this week following a disagreement with Chairman Randy Lerner about how to take the club forward.

After the Word Cup in South Africa, Bradley expressed his desire to coach in Europe saying:

“I have said over and over that I am always excited about new and different challenges. Certainly coaching in Europe at some point is something that I would love to do.”

Bradley has reportedly stood down as the boss of the US national side and is expected to be confirmed as villa boss next week.

The 52 year old does have plenty of managerial experience in the States managing Metrostars (now New York Red Bulls), Chicago Fire and Chivas and indeed the National team but has no managerial experience in Europe or indeed the Premier League.

Fellow American Randy Lerner is said to be a big fan of the work he has done with his country’s national team and sees him as the right man to take Villa forward (a vision not shared with Martin O’Neill).

But what do you think? Is a man with no Premier League experience the right person to lead Villa forward? Will Bradley and Lerner have a better working relationship than Lerner had with O’Neill? And will this result in a top four finish or will they be lucky to get Europa League?

We would love to hear what you have to say on this one. Please leave your comments below.

hmm im not covinced with this link..

Potentially a very good manager for Villa, but we’re a club in a position anything less in terms of how we did last season will be a bitter blow to us Villa fans.

    NO, NO, NO, NO… NO.

Anyone who calls football ‘soccer’ or a club a francise shouldn’t be allowed anywhere near Villa Park as Manager.

Kevin mac or Sven for me. as i can’t see hiddink coming.

He is the next manager. If he had not resigned he would have denied the stories. If he was not in negotiations with Villa he would be staking a claim.

Welcome Mr Bradley to Villa; you will love our club! Now make us great again!

    @ Mauvaisgarcon

You can’t surely want Sven. He is the parasite of English football.

I’m surprised he hasn’t issued a statement yet, claiming he’s always been a Villa fan.

So far this summer he’s tried for Fulham and Liverpool. He’s just desperate for another payday.

If I were a Villa fan (and I’m not), I’d take MacDonald ahead of Sven any day.

Jol or Billic would be better, even Curbs
