I am sure most of you saw Liverpool’s 1-1 draw with Arsenal this afternoon.

One of the biggest talking points to come out of the game was the sending off of Liverpool’s Joe Cole.

The former Chelsea midfielder was shown a straight red card by referee Martin Atkinson for a lunging tackle on Arsenal defender Laurent Koscielny.

Eyes for the ball? Then you tackle in front of the player clearing the ball. You don’t go at his legs. Deep in his own half. In the 45+ minute… While it might not always be given, that’s a red.
