Inter Milan make £15 million bid for Liverpool ace

After weeks of speculation surrounding the future of the Liverpool striker, it has been reported today that Inter Milan have made a £15 million bid for Dirk Kuyt.
Former Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez is desperate to bring the Dutch international to the San Siro before the transfer window shuts at the end of the month.
Kuyt, 30, seems to be interested in a possible move to the Italian giants, calling it a “luxury situation” for himself to be in right now.
Roy Hodgson knows he needs to sell if he is to bring anyone else to Anfield this summer and with a £15 million bid now on the table from Inter, I for one reckon Kuyt will be leaving Merseyside in the coming days.

sell him 15m for a paceless 30 year old who is not the crosser or finisher buy swp at 29 and bridge for that money or lennon/ashley younger throw bable in to getting a top winger the could get remy he still hasn’t sighed for O.M.

there’s no way that even Rafa would spend £15m on Kuyt!!
I’m not too impressed with the types of signings that Hodgson has been targetting so far, so a swap deal for Mancini would do for me and would also be acceptable to Hodgson too (being an ‘experienced’ campaigner that can contribute in the short term)

Plus Juan Mata’s a LEFT winger. We need a left winger. We have Joe, Maxi and Babel on the right but only have Jova on the left. We need a LEFT WINGER ! A.S.A.P ! Juan Mata is talented, full of pace and would click well with Fernando. When we do that, we can play using the 4-4-1-1 formation.

Since when was Kuyt a liverpool ACE???
I would call Torres, Gerrard, Rush, Daglish etc Liverpool Ace’s but not Kuyt. Good engine but we need more than that to win the title. I agree with those saying to sell and buy Turan. Law

Did any of you see Lpool last season??? The World-Cup??? Kuyt was your best player last season, and a force in the Dutch WC campaigne… Kuyt is a way better player then he’s getting credit for. He runs for 2 , his tecnique is above average, and when even your pressious Stevie and Torres has given up all hope, and walks aroung all grumpy pondering life outside the Champions league. Dirk Kuyt track back, counter attack, win back balls… Dirk Kuyt NEVER gives up, show him the respect he deserves!

Absolutely right Greavsy. Kuyt is an utter hero and deserves respect from the club. If he does choose to leave the club I’ll be sad to see him go. He didn’t meet my expectations when he was signed as a hot-shot striker, but it’s impossible to question his contribution to the team.
As for the chap suggesting we should “swap” Hodgson for Mancini, he should bear in mind that Liverpool always do the right thing by our managers. We don’t dump them after a single league game because we don’t fancy their first few transfer targets much. I don’t suppose it occured to you that the impressiveness of Mancini’s transfer targets has something to do with several million £££s?

All due respect to Dirk, but the situation appears to be a 15 million offer for a player who is now 30. Thats nearly the same amount for Henry at the same stage in his career! Its a no brainer for me.

pcnc – I don’t think he meant Roberto Mancini you fool – more likely Alessandro Faiolhe Amantino or ‘Mancini’ the Inter winger…
Kuyt is a ‘good’ player not great. He works hard but you need more than hard work to win things – hence why he has no medals since joining Liverpool in 2006.
Plus, he’s not a winger. I say take the £15m and give Babel a fair crack…I’d like to see SWP at Pool too.

Losing Kuyt will definitely be a setback for Roy Hodgson. Plus at this late stage, who can he buy and we know Liverpool is dry in the money well.
