Spurs Swoop For Van Der Vaart

Sky Sports News seem pretty adamant this evening that Rafael Van Der Vaart, who won a World Cup Runners-Up medal this year with the Netherlands, is about to sign for Tottenham Hotspur. His Wikipedia page, at the time of writing this post, says that the 27-year old playmaker, currently plays for Tottenham!
Whoever said Harry Redknapp wasn’t a wheeler-and-dealer, eh?
You can buy both Tottenham tickets and Aston Villa tickets right now.

Hahaha.. according to wiki he signed for tottenham for £10mill and a bag of crips.
Sounds like a very reliable source.

Ha! It’s back to saying he plays for Real Madrid for now. For a while after Spurs, it said he played for Liverpool. I’d say a bag of crisps is about as much as they could afford for him, anyway.

Well, the Wikipedia page also said he was playing for Arsenal, Columbus Crew, and Daegu United from South Korea… I think we can say that Wikipedia isn’t the reliable source everybody thinks it is.

Bullen,
Nobody’s saying that wikipedia is a reliable source. I’ve never heard anyone suggest anything but the complete opposite. All I was doing was pointing out something that I thought was quite funny in relation to the deal.
On a barely related note, I once read on the wikipedia page of President Taft that he died by being eaten by a pack of wolves. Alas, the truth isn’t nearly as funny, dying as he did of simple ‘ill-health’.
