Is Van Persie Next To Go?

In the 74th minute of Sunday’s encounter between Manchester United and Arsenal it was clear to see that Robin Van Persie had had enough. His team had just got back into the game against the league champions, they were creating chances, and looked like they had the beating of United. Then came a change that shocked almost everyone who watched the game.
Arsene Wenger decided to substitute one of Arsenal’s star performers on the day, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, for the completely underpeforming and out of sorts Andrey Arshavin. This change was booed by all on the terraces and was frankly mind blowing considering Theo Walcott was virtually missing for the entire game.
Robin Van Persie’s reaction told the whole story. He was screaming “NO” from the top of his lungs. Everyone couldn’t believe this was happening. It showed a complete lack of faith from the skipper towards his manager and, to be fair, no one could really argue with the Dutchman.
It was a poor decision from Wenger and it cost his team in the end as Danny Welbeck made it 2-1 to the visitors in the 80th minute. From then on United coasted to victory and closed the gap at the top of the league to 3 points once more on local rivals Manchester City.
But it was the aftermath that has many Arsenal fans biting their nails with anxiety. Will Van Persie be next to go? Will Arsenal lose their second captain in one year? It would seem to be looking that way as Van Persie has finally vented his frustration at Wenger. He is in the prime of his career and has yet to pick up a major trophy with the Gunners, surely a man of his ability wants to win trophies?
I ultimatley think that Van Persie’s hunger to win trophies will out-weigh his desire to remain as Arsenal captain and I wouldn’t be suprised if the Dutchman chose to take his services else where during the summer.

Yes i think he will go now unless something changes very quick such as getting the top players back and maybe Arsene will buy big in the summer, haha (joke)but i think he has the same Agent now as Fab and Nassri so City must be on red alert.
I hope he stays because i still think Arsenal have some very good players coming through.

Yawn. Leave these silly articles out, they serve no purpose and have been done to death already. We are the Arsenal, we get behind the team and support them.

Sure thing, expect nothing less.
Bye Bye Robin, you will be missed.

YOUR ARTICLE IS A LOAD OF RUBBISH! I BELIEVE WENGER SHOULD NOT HAVE SUBSTITUTED OXO, BUT THAT WAS NOT THE REASON WE LOST. I WISH YOU AND THE REST OF THE OTHER IDIOTS WOULD BLAMING ARSHAVIN FOR THE DEFEAT. IF THE GUY WAS LOW ON CONFIDENCE BEFORE HE TOOK THE FIELD, HE WOULD HEVE HAD NO CONFIDENCE BY THE TIME HE TOOK THE FIELD. YES – I KNOW HE IS NOT BEEN AT HIS BEST ALL SEASON, HOWEVER TO BLAME HIM FOR THE DEFEAT IS STUPID.
I AM RVP’s NUMBER 1 FAN AND HAVE ALWAYS BEEN( NOT LIKE THE MAJORITY OF THE IDIOTS THAT HAVE JUST STARTED TO APPRECIATE HIS CLASS), HOWEVER I WOULD URGE HIM TO LEAVE AT THE END OF THE SEASON UNLESS WENGER BRINGS IN AT LEAST 3/4 WORLD CLASS PLAYERS AND GETS RID OF THE CRAP SUCH AS – WALCOT, RAMSEY, SQUILLACHI, GIBBS, ALMUNIA, CHAMAKH, JENKINSON, DIABY,

If rvp is sold by either d stupid board or d foolish coach then it means that arsenal is not a football club. Its just a business centre. If you becos of money nd sell rvp then you people are crazy.

Wenger said if Nasri and Feb left,it speaks volumes for the club’s ambition. So don’t be surprised RVP leaves. He is sick and tired of playing for a blundering manager.
Don’t think it will be easy to take Chelsea’s 4th spot. The Blues will probably buy two to three players to make sure of cl soccer.
Unless the returning injured players can ignite the gunners, the gunners wil have to settle for 5th to ninth place. Even a place in the Europ league is out of reach. To think the move from Highbury was to enable the gunners to compete,it’s back to square one.
Wenger is reponsible for this mess and should be axed come May.

yes all of we gunners know it -but hard to accept. he will leave esp. with failure to qualify for CL.
