Anyway, our ‘World Cup Top Tip’ for today is a 4/1 shot which has a very good chance and it involves the man to your left, Arjen Robben.

The Holland winger has had a magnificent season with the German giants Bayern Munich, helping the Bundesliga side win the domestic title and cup as well as reaching the final of the Champions League.

Bayern have several quality players playing in the World Cup this summer with the likes of Ribery and Klose due to take part for France and Germany respectively.

Robben is a 4/1 shot with Paddy Power to be the top Bayern Munich goalscorer at this summer’s tournament and we believe that is a cracking bet.

Feel free to leave your thoughts on our ‘Top Tip’ and also tell us some of the bets you will or already have put on for the World Cup by leaving a comment below.

As the guy on the Dolmio ads would say: “Today’s the day.”

Yes, after nearly 10 months of football, the Champions League of 09/10 will come to a close in Madrid this evening as Bayern Munich and Inter Milan go head-to-head in what promises to be hopefully will be a pulsating encounter.

Back in July of last year, my beloved Bohs were cruelly knocked out of the competition and I maintain that if a certain defender hadn’t made a mess of one particular clearance, I would be in Madrid today along with thousands of Bohs fans. It wasn’t to be though but perhaps next season will be kinder to us.

Anyway, where was I? Oh yes, Bayern v Inter.

As always, the bookies have hundreds of markets on the Champions League final and I have scoured through them all (well a few of them anyway) to find you our ‘Champions League Top Tip’. You may have noticed our ‘World Cup Top Tip’ posts in recent days. Well today I decided to switch our attentions to tonight’s match in the Spanish capital.

If Bayern are to win tonight, the man in picture, Arjen Robben will no doubt need to be on his game. The former Chelsea winger has had a magnificent season for the German giants and we reckon he is value @ 8/1 with Bet365 to score 2 or more goals tonight. With the final being played in Real Madrid’s stunning Bernabeu stadium, Robben will be looking to impress on a stage where many, including myself, feel he wasn’t given enough time on.

So that’s our top tip. Feel free to tell us the bets you will be or have already placed on tonight’s game by leaving a comment below.

Both Manchester City and Manchester United are lining up bids for Real Madrid midfiedler Arjen Robben.

The Dutch winger has been told he is surplus to requirements at the Bernabeu and in recent weeks, he has been strongly linked with a move back to the Premier League.

Robben, 25, has previously admitted that a move back to England may interest him, however he has also claimed he would be willing to stay and fight for his place in Madrid.

Both Mark Hughes and Sir Alex Ferguson clearly have money to spend so money is unlikely to be an issue in any potential deal. I would personally love to see Robben terrorising defenders in the Premier League once again. I was a huge fan of his whilst he was at Chelsea and I firmly believe United and indeed City could use him.

What do you think? Comments below please.

Real Madrid winger Arjen Robben has today admitted that his agent, who is also his father, has held talks with Tottenham.

The Dutch international has been told by Real Madrid that he can leave the club this summer after the Spanish giants completed the signings of Kaka and Cristiano Ronaldo, however Robben seems to want to stay and fight for his place.

The 25-year old had this to say about a possible move to White Hart Lane : “I have heard of their interest and my dad has had some contact with Spurs and they are a great club but at the moment I am happy at Madrid and I will stay there.”

Spurs boss Harry Redknapp is desperate to add another midfielder to his squad before the season starts next month after missing out on Stewart Downing who now looks set to join Aston Villa.

Personally, I would love to see Robben return to the Premier League. I was a big fan of his during his time at Chelsea and I think a move back to England would do him the world of good. With the World Cup fast approaching, I suppose it would make perfect sense for Robben to get a year of first team football at Spurs rather than warming the bench at the Bernabeu.
