Craig Bellamy’s move from Manchester City to Liverpool is on the brink, with the Welsh international currently on Merseyside, crossing the t’s and dotting the i’s as they say in the business.

After a hectic day of speculation surrounding the 32-year old’s future, it looks as though Bellamy will be posing with a Liverpool shirt at Anfield tomorrow, 4 years after he left the club.

Meanwhile, Mikel Arteta’s on-off move to Arsenal appears to be firmly on at this stage. The Everton midfielder has told David Moyes that he wants out of Goodison Park and Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is only too happy to hand £10 million over to sign the Spaniard.

The fee has been agreed, all that is needed is for a medical to be carried out, and Arteta to agree personal terms with the north London club.

Both deals, in our opinion, will go through before the 11pm deadline. What do you think though? Comments below please.

Craig Bellamy is now as short as 4/7 to join Liverpool before the transfer window shuts at 11pm tonight.

The Manchester City striker looks set to leave the Etihad Stadium before tonight’s deadline and a number of clubs are said to be interested.

It was reported earlier that QPR were closing on Bellamy’s signature. However, it then became clear that the Premier League new-boys would face competition from Stoke City for the player.

But, with less than 8 hours to go now, Bellamy’s former employers, Liverpool, are now the favourites to secure his services. The 32-year old is desperate to leave City, with first team opportunities under Roberto Mancini likely to be non-existent this season.

I have always been a massive fan of Bellamy’s and I personally believe he deserves to be playing Premier League football week in, week out. It will be intriguing to see if he does indeed end up back at Anfield by 11pm tonight. The money certainly seems to think he will be a Liverpool player once again.

The Welsh striker has already been heavily linked with a move away from Eastlands with Tottenham and several others believed to be interested but what about a surprise move back to Liverpool.

I know a lot of Liverpool fans never wanted to see Bellamy leave Anfield when he did back in 2007 so should Roy Hodgson make a move for the 31-year old now?

Personally, I am a huge fan of Bellamy’s and I honestly believe he is one of the best players in the Premier League. He is far too good to be sitting on the bench every week and for his sake, I hope he leaves City. With Liverpool still on the look-out for a new striker, I believe this makes perfect sense.

Several papers are reporting today that Tottenham are ready to make a summer bid for Manchester City duo Craig Bellamy and Micah Richards.

Harry Redknapp is keen to add to his squad during this summer’s transfer window ahead of Tottenham’s first season in the Champions League and if you believe what you read in the papers, Bellamy and Richards could be on their way to White Hart Lane.

Both Bellamy and Richards are expected to leave Eastlands in the coming weeks with Roberto Mancini reportedly ready to sell both players if the price is right.

Bellamy, 30, has been linked with several clubs in recent days and weeks but there has been talk that a move to London doesn’t interest him. Meanwhile, Richards, 22, has also been linked with a number of clubs over the past few weeks but unlike Bellamy, the muscly defender is thought to be keen on a move to north London.

I would be shocked to see either player still at City when the season starts next month. With David Silva now on the books at City, it is quite clear that Bellamy will find it very difficult to nail down a first team place next season. They are both more than capable players and I reckon they could both do a job at Spurs.

Craig Bellamy’s time as a Manchester City player appear to be coming to a close with several papers claiming today that the Welsh striker will be on his way to Tottenham when the transfer window opens later this summer.

Bellamy, 30, was, without doubt, one of City’s top performers last season. However, ever since the arrival of Roberto Mancini at Eastlands, things haven’t really worked out for the former Newcastle and Liverpool striker.

There were reports of a training ground bust-up between Bellamy and Mancini earlier this year and many claim that the pair no longer see eye-to-eye with one another.

Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp is understood to be very keen to bring Bellamy to White Hart Lane and a there is talk of a possible £12 million deal going through in the coming weeks.

It has been reported this evening that Wolfsburg striker Edin Dzeko is close to joining Manchester City which would seem to indicate that Bellamy is in fact on his way out of the club.

Dzeko, 24, has been linked with dozens of Europe’s elite in recent weeks with Chelsea, Real Madrid, AC Milan and several others believed to be interested. The Bosnian international is considered by many as one of the brightest prospects in world football and City are reportedly ready to cough up £30 million to secure his services.

I have only seen bits and bobs of Dzeko in recent months but even I can see that he clearly has a lot of ability. During his time in Germany with Wolfsburg, Dzeko has scored an impressive 74 goals in 120 appearances. Personally, I would love to see Dzeko play in the Premier League next season and I’m sure the majority of City fans will be happy to see a player of his quality possibly arriving.

Tottenham clinched that all important 4th spot (and they might even finish 3rd) on Wednesday night and already some big names are being linked with summer moves to White Hart Lane.

Harry Redknapp is likely to have some cash to splash when the transfer window opens on July the 1st and if you believe what you read in the papers, he already has a few players in mind.

Craig Bellamy, a player whom Redknapp nearly signed last season, is one name being linked with a move to Tottenham. The 30-year old has had a magnificent season for Manchester City but there is talk that his relationship with manager Roberto Mancini is frayed beyond repair.

Chelsea’s Joe Cole is also understood to be attracting interest from Tottenham with Spurs apparently prepared to offer Cole the £120,000 a week contract the midfielder has demanded at Stamford Bridge. Cole, 28, has had a frustrating season at Chelsea and many, including myself, think he will be on his way out of the club but whether or not it is in fact Tottenham he joins is the question. Cole has worked with Redknapp in the past during their time at West Ham and maybe now that Tottenham have qualified for the Champions League, the England international may be lured back into Harry’s arms.

A former Tottenham player, Michal Carrick is another name being linked with a possible move to the north London club. The Manchester United midfielder left the club back in 2006 and has since gone on to win three Premier League title at Old Trafford. The 28-year old has come in for some criticism from the United faithful this season and it comes as no surprise to me to see his name linked with a move away from the club.

Personally, I could see the Craig Bellamy and Joe Cole deals possibly happening. However, I don’t see why Redknapp would move for Carrick considering the fact he has several better and younger midfield players already at the club. The next few months are bound to be intruiging for all you Spurs fans and we want to know what you to say on these and all the other rumours surrounding the club.

It was a bit of a shock to me to wake up and see this morning’s headlines regarding the alleged bust-up between Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini and striker Craig Bellamy, however I must admit, I wasn’t at all surprised.

Even the dogs on the street know what Bellamy is like. The Welshman is someone who simply won’t take no for an answer, always wanting things his way but unfortunately for him and indeed City, this fiery temper may just have cost him his job at Eastlands.

It is claimed that Mancini and Bellamy fell out yesterday during one of the club’s last training session’s before Sunday’s crunch encounter with Liverpool. Bellamy apparently refused to train one-on-one with one of Mancini’s Italian coaches and then it all kicked off. Below, is a City insider’s view of the whole situation.

“The manager was yelling ‘Why are you always questioning me? Why won’t you do as you are told? Why are you always questioning everything at training and in games?’.

“Bellamy argued back that he only wanted what was best for the club.

“But Mancini snapped ‘I want you to leave now. And do not come back for three months’.”

I have grown to love Bellamy over the past number of years. The majority of football fans in England and indeed all over the world will admit he is a player who always gives 110%, regardless of who they support. I personally think he has been one of the player’s of this Premier League season so far, however as was the case at Liverpool, Newcastle and I’m sure several other clubs Bellamy has played for, he just can’t keep his mouth shut.

If, what the papers are reporting is true, there is no doubt that the club may be forced to sell Bellamy when the transfer window opens in the summer which I think would be a disaster. He is one of the only players at City who really gives a shit about the club and I feel if it is between letting Bellamy go or getting rid of Mancini, I honestly believe Mancini is the man to go.

What do you think? Comments below please.
Good start for new Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini, however the Italian has already made his first mistake since entering the hot seat at Eastlands.

Mancini’s decision to leave Craig Bellamy out of his starting line-up this afternoon was big error in my opinion which will no doubt lead to further speculation in tomorrow’s papers regarding the future of the Welsh international.

Bellamy, 30, has already been linked with a host of club’s following the departure of his fellow countryman Mark Hughes from the club last weekend. The former Liverpool striker was reportedly upset at the club’s decision to sack Hughes and there was even talk that he had handed in a transfer request at the club.

We all know by now that when things don’t go Bellamy’s way, he’s certainly not afraid to walk away from a club. Even though he did come as a sub with twenty minutes to go against Stoke City today, I firmly believe that Mancini’s decision to start Robinho ahead of Bellamy may have further implications.

Harry Redknapp appears keen to bring Bellamy to Tottenham during this upcoming transfer window and it has to be said, you couldn’t blame Craig if he did decide to make the switch to White Hart Lane, given the fact he would be almost guarenteed first team football in north London.

There is no doubt that Bellamy has been one of, if not the best player in the Premier League so far this season, which makes it all the more strange why he wasn’t played from the off today. It will be interesting to see how this one pans out over the coming weeks.
